Quarterly Parish Meeting, Godly Play, and More!

Quarterly Parish Meeting April 19th – This Sunday!

We love our tradition of gathering as a parish throughout the year to review exciting initiatives, current finances, and dreams for the future. Please join us upstairs in the Parish Building this Sunday, April 19th following the 10:30 service for our next parish meeting, held upstairs in the parish building. Plus bagels!

April 26 Invitation for Parents and Children to Experience Godly Play

On Sunday, April 26th, Rev. Kate will join interested children and parents in the Parish Hall during service (while Fr Jon preaches in the sanctuary!). She will demonstrate a lesson from a lovely curriculum called Godly Play we have been using at St. James School. We are eager to hear afterwards what families think about this as a curriculum for us to use here at St. James Church as well.

New Flags Have Arrived

Well, they still need steaming, but our new flags have arrived to grace the front of our beautifully renovated building.

Pentecost is THIS Sunday! Dear Friends, I am so excited to be celebrating the great feast of Pentecost with you all – a day when we remember that God is always with us and empowering us to be agents of Christ’s love in the world. Since fire is one of the symbols of the Holy Spirit, please don’t forget to wear something red this Sunday if you are able! Calling All Pentecost Readers! Next Sunday, May 24 we will celebrate Pentecost, one of the principal feasts of the church year, which takes place 50 days after Easter (the term Pentecost means fiftieth day). On this day, we marvel at the power of the Holy Spirit in our midst. Here at St James, we love the tradition of hearing scripture read in multiple languages on Pentecost Day, representing the universality of the Holy Spirit. Do you speak a language you would like to share in a reading...
