Supporting Saint James’ in 2026

As we wrap up 2025, the Vestry has started to put together the church’s budget for 2026. One thing that is incredibly helpful for us is how much you hope to be able to give to Saint James’ in 2026 – the church word for this is “pledging.” Pledging allows us to create a balanced budget and plan out our ministries for the upcoming year. Please take some time to pray this week about how you’ll be able to support the great work this community does here. We hope that everyone will pledge.

To date, we have pledges totaling $507,000. Our goal for a balanced budget is $904,000. We are 56% of the way there. If you have not yet pledged, you can make your pledge on online here.

We wish you many blessings,

The Vestry of Saint James

If you would like to donate to support flowers, wreaths, or musicians for Christmas, you may do so online here.

Christ the King & Jim’s Farewell

What a weekend – filled with celebration and a momentous farewell. Solemn Evensong, a rededication of our church after a 16-month renovation, visits from former rector and Bishop Kirk Smith, our own Bishop Frank Brookhart, and Bishop-Elect Antonio Gallardo, plus many more clergy, lay friends, and choir alum, all on board for the worship and festivities. On Sunday, the festivities continued as we celebrated Christ the King and said goodbye to Canon Jim Buonemani, our Director of Music for almost 31 years. Both days filled our hearts with appreciation for 100 years of joyful worship and music at St James.

Advent Begins This Sunday!

Many people say Advent is their favorite season of the church year. Beautiful, meditative, a little solemn but also full of expectancy and hope as we await the coming of the Christ child. And this year, we have new chasubles, stoles, altar hangings and more to adorn the season. Check out our video below with a sneak peak of these lovely vestments.
