Supporting Saint James in 2026

As we wrap up 2025, the Vestry has started to put together the church’s budget for 2026. One thing that is incredibly helpful for us to is how much you hope to be able to give to Saint James’ in 2026 – the church word for this is “pledging.” Pledging allows us to create a balanced budget and plan out our ministries for the upcoming year. Please take some time to pray this week about how you’ll be able to support the great work this community does here. Then, you can then make your pledge online here.

We wish you many blessings,

The Vestry of Saint James

November 22 & November 23: Evensong, Return to the Sanctuary, Choir Reunion, and Saying Goodbye to Canon James Buonemani

Please mark your calendars! On Saturday, November 22 at 4:15PM, we will have our first Evensong of the season, combined with a service of rededication of our restored Sanctuary. Then on Sunday, November 23, we will celebrate the Feast of Christ the King, which will also be Canon James Buonemani’s final Sunday leading the music program at St. James after more than 30 years of dedicated service and extraordinary artistry. If you have sung in the choir under Jim’s direction during these years, you are warmly invited to join us in singing Hubert H. Parry’s I Was Glad at this special service. Please reply no later than Monday, November 3, to ChoirRSVP@stjla.org, indicating your voice part. Additional details will be shared with all who respond. We look forward to gathering voices old and new for this meaningful occasion.

Jim Buonemani's Retirement Purse

November 23 will be Canon Jim’s final Sunday service with us. For those who wish to make a donation to his retirement purse, you may do so here.

Giving Thanks and Sharing Our Abundance
