All Saints Day, Organ Recital, Time Change Reminder, and More! ❤️

All Saints’ Day Celebrated this Sunday

One of the beautiful traditions on All Saints’ Day at St. James’ is to begin the service in our small chapel reading out the names of all those loved ones who have passed. This includes the names of all who are interred in our columbarium; those whose funerals have taken place at St. James’ in the past year; and, the names of any loved ones that church members would like to hear. These could be people who passed in 2026 or previously.

If you would like the name or names of loved ones read in the small chapel before the 8 AM and 10:30 AM services this Sunday, please email me the names no later than this Saturday evening, October 31. Kcress@stjla.org

Discussion on Homelessness is LA

This Sunday, November 1, our fellow parishioner Peter Casey will discuss homelessness in LA, how it impacts our most vulnerable neighbors, and what we can do about it as Angelenos and Christians. Peter is a public policy researcher and expert who has worked on addressing homelessness in Washington, DC, Pittsburgh, and most recently LA County. Please join to learn more about what we can do as a congregation and community! We will meet in the upstairs conference room following the 10:30 service.
