Animal Blessing Recap, the Coalition to End Homelessness, and More!

Evensong and Organ Recitals Return THIS SUNDAY!

This Sunday, October 11 at 4:15 pm, Evensong returns with the Choir of Saint James. Join us for cider and cookies to celebrate the new season. Then, at 6 pm, enjoy an Organ Recital with Maurice Clerc of Dijon, France, the first concert in the 2026-2027 season of the International Laureates Organ Series.

National Faith Coalition to End Homelessness

This weekend, we are participating in a nationwide event called Weekend to End Homelessness. Churches all over the country, of multiple different denominations, will lift up the crisis of homelessness, and consider faithful steps we can take to end it. We will hear from our Soup Kitchen Director, Margaret Ecker, who will update us on our parish work to help our unhoused neighbors.

African Fellowship Service and Celebration - Next Sunday, October 18

African Fellowship Sunday is next Sunday, Oct 18, with a special service of celebration followed by a delicious African lunch and party in the parish hall. All are welcome!

A Joyous Animal Blessing

Despite the heat, our animal friends came in droves to receive their blessings: dogs, cats, and two lovely rabbits. Special thanks to our visiting preacher, The Very Rev. Dominic Barrington, Dean of York Cathedral in England.

Godly Play Class Will Take Place on Sunday October 18

Bishop Visits Our Deanery This Saturday, October 10 at 4pm

Another chance is coming up to visit with Bishop Antonio, when he spends an afternoon at St. Alban’s Church (by UCLA) to get to know the people of our own Deanery 3. This is a great chance to get to know him better and to meet your fellow Episcopalians from other churches! Please consider joining in the fellowship and fun that afternoon.
