Save the date July 12 - a return visit from Carlos Rodriguez of LA VoiceOver the past year here at Saint James, our concern has grown for the safety of our community because of ICE raids. One of our own vestry members is currently still in a detention center, and we worry about the safety of our vulnerable soup kitchen guests. And so, we have been developing a relationship with a faith based organization called LA Voice to help us learn more about how we can help. On July 12 immediately following the 10:30am service, LA Voice representative Carlos Rodriguez will return for another visit. This time, he will help us map the landscape of our elected representatives here in Los Angeles, so that we can build relationships with them. He will also help us understand the ways that other churches are getting involved. I hope that you will join us for this opportunity for learning, so that we can be part of the solution.
